Become a friend of Maryvale by giving to our Annual Campaign.
When you give any amount—large or small, you are literally saving lives. The funds raised by the Los Angeles Orphanage Guild provide much needed financial support for the residential program at Maryvale's Rosemead campus which is dedicated to healing orphaned, abandoned, abused and neglected girls.
Maryvale was founded in 1856 by the Daughters of Charity as the first orphanage serving children in the City of Los Angeles. As social welfare programs for abandoned and at risk children have changed over the last several decades, Maryvale has grown and changed with them. In the early 1980's, the Daughters of Charity refocused the residential program to provide a safe and nurturing home for girls between the ages of 6 to 17 who have been removed from their homes or foster placements to escape sexual and physical abuse, neglect and abandonment. The residential center provides the young girls with unmatched therapeutic and educational services. Along with the Daughters of Charity, these fragile children are surrounded by a culturally diverse and highly trained professional staff and caring volunteers who cater to the children’s every physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual need.
Open your heart to the children of Maryvale and support our Annual Campaign.
